The GET replacement Problem for Landfill Compactors:

Welded Teeth

• Existing welded teeth have short wear life as the material must be weldable.
• Although warranted to 4yrs/10000 hrs welded teeth rarely make the distance due again to the softer nature of weldable materials.
• Replacing welded teeth is an expensive and time consuming process (1 hour per tooth is the minimum).

Existing removable GET products

• Current adaptor based systems are often difficult to remove & replace due to corrosion/design issues.
• Existing products tend to come loose and damage the adaptor (see picture right) which then negates the benefits of using a removable tooth.
• Alternatively, other removable GET products become so tightly attached in some material they become impossible to remove.( see picture far right. )
